The memorandum on the establishment of the consortium was signed on June 2, 2017 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Russia’s first regional Foresight Fleet-2017 took place in St. Petersburg from May 14 to 18, 2017. The main topic of the event was the future development of St. Petersburg and Russia's North-West in the conditions of digital transformation.
The future of St. Petersburg in the Open Space format will be discussed at the “Boiling Point” on April 28. Participants of the event within one day in the “here and now” mode will identify most important issues facing the city, select key development directions for the Northern capital and share their knowledge and experience.

The Alliance of Translational Medicine was established on December 20, 2016. The consortium agreement was signed by universities – participants of the Global Leadership Project 5-100 : National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN), National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI", National Research Tomsk State University (TSU) and the Center for Strategic Research “North-West” Foundation.
Elaboration of the Strategy began in June 2015 at the instruction of Russian President . Over three thousand experts participated in the development of the Strategy, among them experts of the Center for Strategic Research Foundation and the Center for Strategic Research “North-West” Foundation.
On November 8, 2017 Pyotr Schedrovitsky, member of the Expert Council of the Government of the Russian Federation , gave a lecture “On the structure of engineering education and the new industrial revolution” at St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. The event was conducted within the framework of the series of public lectures organized by the Center for Strategic Research "North-West" Foundation.
The Center for Strategic Research “North-West”, Russian Science Foundation (RSF) and Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations (FASO Russia) have launched a long-term cooperation project aimed at forecasting the prospects for science development.
The aim of the research is to work together with broad science community to identify major challenges, development trends, as well as significant science milestones that form the context for problems and opportunities, an effective response to which presupposes a new level of the depth of scientific understanding of natural and social processes, expansion of technology portfolio available to the general public.
