As а Russian think tank, the Center for Strategic Research "North-West" sets the actual development agenda for the Russian Federation and regions, and initiates discussion on a wide range of issues related to socio-economic and technological development.
The Foundation organizes numerous events and activities, including international status events across the Russian Federation and creates conditions for knowledge and competency flow in expert circles, for emergence of new ideas and suggestions for further development of economic sectors, areas and regions of Russia.
Geography of the Foundation’s public events covers over a dozen regions of the Russian Federation. The Foundation has extensive experience in organizing and conducting national and regional forums, planning sessions, round tables and foresight sessions, including events with participation of foreign experts.
CSR "North-West" uses foresight in its project work as a technology to get the vision of the future for complex systems (society, industrial sector etc.), and to identify strategic positions of different entities in this future.
Foresight methodologies used by the Foundation are based on complete involvement of project participants in mutual communication, during which different version of the visions of the future are revealed, coalitions on the visions of a desirable future are formed, joint initiatives are considered and process of their implementation is planned.
Finding a common language and terminological grounds is instrumental in the process of implementation of new technologies and application of latest competencies
An essential component of increasing the level of competence and knowledge, educational programs contribute to involvement of wide range of stakeholders in the innovation process.
Within the framework of its work on territorial development the Foundation has designed and implemented a number of educational programs (internship programs, training programs for innovation clusters, etc.).
